Okay, maybe I am. The question is: what is an empire? Dictionary.com says an empire is . . .

Okay, so apples are out! However, a domain (read internet) ruled by an emperor (read anyone who owns the damn thing) seems fitting. Now the question comes down to one of validity. To qualify in the same category Choker did for the article, he would have to be considered "successful". WTF does that mean? Well, I'm the first to admit that that judgement is really up to me - that's my bias. However . . .

To me, anyone that can fly themselves to conferences whenever they want, have a whack of fun toys at their disposal and have created a decent name for themselves using the tools we all have available to us . . . that's success. It might not be (insert name of rich and powerful ruler of the world here) success, but it's enough to be able to qualify as someone with an "empire" that we can all learn something from.

I'm not sure if the Internet was an empire that Sleazy Dream would be emperor. Sure, he's obviously done well for himself. He's doing better, I'm sure, than I am. But in the grand scheme of things? As far as TGP guys go, wouldn't The Hun be considered number 1?

Sleazy might have a big account at his bank, but he doesn't own the bank. You know what I mean?

That's pretty fucked up IMO, there was no reason for it. Remember when sexeducation was around? No one gave a shit how large or how many times the word PEDO was posted.
Sleazydream and the adult.com team owe a few people some apologies, before it tarnishes their name more. This shit gets around fast.

Think about this, a guy like The Hun is what, 5-6 times bigger than Sleazy as far as traffic goes, and who knows how much more he makes. You mail the hun a submission and the hun will sometimes even write you back something to tell you what to improve to get listed. He takes his time to HELP you get listed on his massive site, for what?

Free.

Sleazy, on the other hand, doesn't have free spots. Imagine if he did though, if you emailed him and asked for advice, what would you get back?

Haha! Fine point! Empire is a bit glorified, I'll give you that. But we are talking about "Internet" empires here. I'd say there are a few hundred "empires" -- domains (in the broader sense) that I would qualify as such. Does Sleazy manage his properties on a daily basis? Could he leave them alone for a while and still remain really profitable for a decent period of time? I don't know for sure. I'd love to have the chance to ask him that myself! My thoughts are yes, he would be okay if he let things sit for a while. I don't think you have to be number one to be a success. This is a game like horse shoes. Close counts! ;)

I understand what you're saying. I mean it's all speculation as to how well he's doing. I'm sure it's by all standards pretty good. That's the shame of it all. Sleazy obviously does know quite a bit about this business. He is successful and would probably be a great source of knowledge if he was so inclined. It's somewhat tarnished by the very elite attitude he attempts to pull off here. Think about Rick Latona, Lensman, Paolo, Quiet, The Hun, etc ... These are some pretty successful people. It's also pretty rare that you'd find one of them randomly calling people they know nothing about idiots. I would consider them to be "elite" because of what they've accomplished, how they've accomplished it and how they conduct themselves not because they've forced down my throat how great they are.

When you look at the online adult business as a whole, Sleazy is merely a blip on the radar...he doesn't have the tools that it takes to truly pull away from the pack, and he never will...The sky is the limit with Choker...

Think of Sleazy as the webmaster version of Gary Coleman...A lifetime B Lister...

See, I don't know. People who have reached a decent level of success fall into two categories: people who are smart enough to make it and are ready to kick back OR those that have made it and only want to make more.

I wish I knew more about Sleazy. My thought is he has more on the go at any given time. If you have the interest and drive to succeed at one idea, you probably have the ability and motivation to try more -- don't you think?

I see your point, but I just think that there are a ton of people who have been in the biz the same amount of time as Sleazy, that have become much more successful. He has excelled with his TGP but nothing more. The people in this business who have truly reached "elite" status are those who are innovative. Those who have created a new arena for the business or raised the standard of an already existent one. I do not see Sleazy as having done either.

There is no doubt that he is successful. However, there are many levels of success. His lack of "people skills" has leveled him out and will continue to do so. With every person he insults, he reduces his professional options. Thus, stunting the growth of his business.

I don't condone what Sleazy has done, but I also don't condone this mob mentality on GFY where because someone is being attacked, everyone feels its fair game to take a shot at them as well. Don't kick a man while he's down. There's nothing wrong with showing your support for Choker, but there's limits to before it becomes 'Sleazy' bashing.

I think alot of people have had alot of repressed hostility for sleazy for awhile now. And AaronM is nowhere near as bad as him. He actually has redeeming qualities. Sleazy has none. IMHO, he deserves any and everything he gets.

Been thinking about my comment to choker regarding his daughter in the video he posted to GFY and I'm starting to realize it was excessivly rude. It was not a pedofile comment though. I honestly believe Choker is a good Dad and loves his kids and as such will go overboard in protection mode when something involves them. I should have realized this and toned down my comment. I made a mistake.

I apoligise if I offended you Choker and retract the comment. You have a right as a Good father to go overboard to a degree to protect your kids. I personally don't think that excuses the pedo comments you made about me, or the stupidity of posting video of your 12 year old daughter on an adult pornographic webmaster board, but I understand that ANY good father will sometimes get blinded when an issue concerns their children and I can overlook and forgive you for that as I realize and understand your agrivation on that comment.

I don't make the banning decision, but if I did I would choose to unban you now, as I think you've had a reasonable cool off period now.
