Fox News is basically talk radio put on TV. Plus the tabloid mentality shows through. Except for a few of its personalities, I don't think the network is as concerned with conservatism as much as it is with making a LOT OF MONEY.
It has the same emotional impact as tabloid papers--appeal to emotions, appeals to a paradigmatic 'normal' standard, scapegoating, appeals to patriotism, etc etc. |
