Are you friends with your neighbors?

Do you just ignore them or say 'hello' whenever you see them, or are you basically good buddies with your neighbors?

I've lived in small and large cities. I was friendlier in the small city. It was nice. At the same time, I don't mind the anonymity in the bigger city of just going about my own business without having to even see my neighbors.

I've had some neighbours I'd party with, some I never exchanged a single word too

My cat gets ALOT of attention from the ladies So every time I take him out for a walk I meet at least one neighbors and engage in the usual small talk.

The closest neighbor I have is out of visual distance and only lives here part time. but I wave or chat with the others when I see them out and about, at neighborhood parties or at stores and such. I don't socialize with them unless it's a neighborhood thing though.

In front of our house lives a little old man with his dog, I just waive to him. Next to me is an anti social lady...never speaks to anyone. On the other side I have this redneck who I think is into young boys....anyway he never says hi to me but always says hi to my husband. It's funny because when we first bough the house my family wa sover helping out. He came over introduced himslef and spoke only to my stepdad, brother, and husband....ignore all the females!!

I lived in my last home for 3 years and didn't know a single neighbor. The guy next door I only knew as "creepy guy." He never picked up his mail (mail slot in the door) and apparently would just walk over it everyday. It'd all work its way out the crack of his door and his flyers and other crap mail would eventually blow onto my sidewalk.

Here I'm only friends with my next door neighbor. There's some big black mean-looking dude upstairs, though, who's slowly coming around.

think about that
