the last time i was on a snow mobile i passed ok and crashed. hit my head, so they thought that i had a fever from that... turns out that i had spinal meningitis and passed out from the fever. never got on one after that. a few years later i went skiing for the first time. my ski got stuck in the snow and the binding did not give way. my whole body twisted and my leg did not. full leg cast for nine months. about ten years after that i went snow boarding. broke my arm in three places the first time down the hill.

i am not going anywhere near the snow. snow is the devil

That was you? I don't mean to insult you but I am an experienced base jumper and skydiver and you look like you have no experience what_so_ever to be jumping a dam. The fact that you are explaining about the camera helmet has noob written all over it and you reacted wrong to your off heading opening. You got a 90 left, cranked right riser to the point of impacting the wall with a 180 right and stalled to the ground. I suggest you stop base all together and get some skydiving experience under your belt, then proceed with bridge jumps only so you don't have to worry about an object strike. Obviously, I can't see what was happening with your canopy but from what I saw of the video, you did everything wrong. You didn't even look up at your parachute to see what you were dealing with and know how to react. You are lucky to be alive but give base jumpers a bad rep. Plz use more sense next time. Base jumping is not for everyone; try golf or disneyland.

If you see my 2nd video, you'll see what took place a few hours before the jump. Normally I confine my jumps to radio towers and government obelisks, however the tequila got to me. It's neat to have my lung in a jar, though.

I'm guessing that was a sub 400ft object with less than 120 degree opening for flight heading; jumping that wasted is a mistake that will kill you every time. Radio towers are no better unles you are jumping free standing, guide wires are every 120 degrees as well so there is no more margin for error. Learn from others mistakes, you won't live long enough to learn them all on your own.

Next week we're jumping off the inflatable santa that's on a bank buiding down town. I'm gunna break it loose and ride it down over 33 stories to the street below, it should be SWEET!

no wonder you said radio towers, about the only option you have in FL lol - that place is crawling with them. I guess there are some nice buildings too though. I had no idea there were other base jumpers in the industry. Post some vid of the santa jump when you get the chance, and for god sake don't hit the bank:)
