Technical question for programmers/coders: How the f*** does this work?

How does this page: (rpg skill experience calculator)

    http://www.rsbandb.com/calc/src/calc...der=ASC&memb=1

get information from this page? (redirects to runesape front page)

    http://hiscore.runescape.com/aff/run...sername=zezima

and use it in a form?

You go to the first page, enter a player's name... it retrieves experience scores from Runescape.com and uses them to perform calculations.

The calculator I can figure out, but how does it grab the info?

Thanks, problem solved. Now my script not only accesses the stats page, it also gives me next week's stock market quotes!

Checking that out, thanks. The flux-capacitor method used 1.21 GB of bandwidth each time I opened the page.
