If they have one at CES in January anyone want to earn a quick $50 to help me carry one out the back door in the chaos at the end of the show?

The cool thing is that it's so expensive it actually comes with the two Korean chicks to hold it up.

Dam, that's big, just imagine how much that weighs.

I just picked up a little Samsung 26 inch high definition LCD for over my fireplace mantle. It would be about the size of the picture in picture window on that thing.

Hopefully, just like with most other tech products, the price will go down as time goes by. Maybe... just maybe the ECONOMY OF SCALE and efficiency wrought by such a technology will result in much lower PDP price all around.

At that point, and for that price, why not just get a projector and screen for the wall. I got a Panasonic HD projector, replacement bulb, and 105" 16x9 screen for $2100 online. The picture rules, it can display HD (which is awesome), only weighs like 10 lbs, and the bulb can last up to 3000 hours (which for me will last like 2 years) and the replacement bulbs are about $250.

I want to buy a new TV soon. I 've been debating between a big screen or a projector. I have one wall that really begs to be a theater screen, but I like running news and stuff in the background and I am bad to fall asleep watching TV so I'd probably be burning out bulbs every couple months

Then again, my last TV was a 32" Sony Trinitron that the picture tube went out the week after the warranty, about the same cost as going through 3 bulbs. Are they a hassle to change? The Panasonic sounds good. I got one of their DVD recorders a few months ago and like it so much they'll definitely be at the top of the list when looking for other video gear. I've had the worst luck with Sony and Magnavox.

Besides the TV I've had a 2 Sony camcorders, a CD burner and VCR crap out on me prematurely. I've also gone through a Magnavox camera, VCR, CD player & TV. I'm staying away from both brands for awhile

Get a good DLP projector, quality is unbeatable right now.

Bulb change difficulty depends on the projector, one some you can't change it yourself.
