At my bank it would depend upon the amount...not if it is in state or out of state. At my bank...for large amounts...a certain amount is deposited to the account immediately...then in three days another amount is deposited...then in seven days the balance is deposited.

With the new legislation of check 21 I would expect most banks to be able to clear checks quickly now or very soon.

In Canada, 15 business days for US cheques ("checks" to you). After the first successful one they clear the rest right away.

The moment I deposit the checks, the cash is in my account.

Credit Unions rock like that.

It used to be 24 hours. Now for some fucked up reason they changed their whole system and it takes 7 days for the money to hit my account.

Fuckers are supposed to improve their services, not make them worse!
