Site Management/Update Interface Question
Hey Everybody
Rachel Here ? aka DirtyGirl from VirtualDirtyGirl.com I have a question. I?m getting quite a few non-adult clients lately for web work and a similar need has come up for two of my new customers. One is a Real Estate Agency and the other is an Exotic Car Dealership. The layout and design is no problem but both these customers want the ability to update the site themselves. For example ? when the realtor lists a brand new property, he wants to be able to immediately showcase this property on his site with photos and descriptive text etc., as does the car dealer when he gets a new vehicle on the lot. In the past, both were using webmasters to do these updates but found it too expensive and worst, too slow (in some cases the house was sold before the site was updated) So, what I?m looking for is an interface of some kind, which the client could manage himself. Again for example: On the homepage of the real-estate site there could be link for ?New Listings? which would take the surfer to an index page showing the 10 new listings (this page would need to be generated by the interface) Then each of the 10 new listing links would lead to an individual listing page containing photos and info on the property etc (again theses pages would need to be generated by the interface) I was thinking even some kind of an advanced blogger might work. I need to keep it as simple as possible as I don?t want to be fixing it for them all the time. I?m sure there must be some kind of a solution for needs like this. Does anyone have any advice? I look forward to hearing what you guys think. Thanks Again Peeps Hugz & Kissez Rachel xoxx |
