I'm sick... I have done ZERO Christmas shopping.... I'm supposed to have dinner at my house Christmas and have not had time to think about what to make.... AND my vacuum cleaner is broken.

That sucks. Rent a maid, hire a catering company and shop online.
Or better yet, buy a quartined sign and forge a health inspectors letter. Then no one will vist or open any presents that you may have sent already....
