I like my Dell laptop, Inspiron 8600. They have a new one now, the Inspiron 9200, also with the Pentium M chip. They are a good merger of power, battery life and cost.

Thanks. I just wet myself.

PC wise, though, Alienware would be my choice.

Sony Vaio. I'm on my fourth one and I couldn't imagine changing now. The one prior to this took a beer to the keyboard and still worked, this one I accidentally left lying under an open hatch when I was washing my boat, and the screen actually dried itself out in a day or so and it's still kicking right along

check out M-tech Laptops - www.mtechlaptops.com

I've been very happy with mine....Alienware wanted almost a $1000 more for the same specs in the same generic laptop body.

Well I go for speed over style. I got the DELL XPS which is a BEAST and weights a ton but its faster than 90% of the computers people on GFY have and its a laptop. 3.4 ghz, 2 gig ram, 256 meg ghx card. Absolutely a desktop replacement which is exactly what I wanted it for. Heavy for traveling but nothing too bad.

Sony A290 is the best.

Screen Rez is at High Def 1900 x 1200 with X-Brite.
