    Cell Phone Question....

I have a cell phone question..

On most plans, do they charge you minutes not just for outgoing minutes but incoming too??

Or is it normally just outgoing minutes?

Ive got 1000 minutes weekends and nights free with T-Mobile..

Are the incoming calls being subtracted from the 1000 minutes I have?

All you fucking webmasters calling me day in and day out to look at your shitty programs and promote your dog shit sites using my minutes??

      Or am I over reacting?

if you have nights, and weekends free than no.

They only subtract from your anytime minutes when it's peak

Best bet would be to read the fine print or call them up.

Some plans don't charge you for incoming calls. Most do, and will deduct from your monthly time.

You'll need to check your billing statement and plan details to be sure. All calls should be listed, regardless of the billing method.

I used to have a plan where incoming calls were not charged - the billing statement showed the call, the total minutes, and always said "incoming call" in the minutes billed column.

You should call around and see if there is a flat rate for the month for unlimited calls...Might even be worth putting in another landbased line...

Don't kid yourself there in Europe.

They might not charge for incoming calls in Europe, but its definitely MORE expensive to use your phone.

Over here (US) we get charged for incoming and outgoing, however we get a much better dwal on our monthly plan.

                                  I have sprint,

1500 Minutes, Free Nights And Weekends, Free Long Distance..

So I only use my "Minutes" when I am on peak time during the week...

I get free roaming as well, they use up to half of the 1500 minutes on roaming, once I go over 750 minutes then they charge my ass hard for roaming..

But it's a good plan.. I wish I had some of the shit TMobile offers at sprint, but I am pretty satisfied with sprint so far..

Because regardless of who called whom, you're still using airtime. Every provider I ever used (3) charged for incoming and outgoing during peak times.

There are some providers with certain plans, though, that won't charge you when you're speaking to someone on the same network.

Hmm but you're from America? Must be because in Europe ( I live in Holland ) you only pay for the minutes you call ( outgoing ) and when you receive a call you dont pay anything at all.

                                              Or only outgoing?
Used at any time the cell is in opperation with a call.. that is what is described as airtime as stated above.. you will not find many plans that do not deduct from minutes for incoming calls.. if you want incoming calls only get a phone in your office that will only accept calls, and use your cell for outgoing calls.. this will help save you alot on overages..

basicly during peak time I get 68 minutes a day that I can be on the phone for during PEAK hours..

if I call people after 7pm and on weekends then I get a hell of a lot more time..

During non peak and weekend hours you have access to approximately 24720 minutes of talk time at no charge or deduction to your included plan minutes.

During peak hours there are 18480 possible minutes of talking time during the month that you will pull from your included minutes on your plan.

So its all about how you manage your calls..

ou can see that you obviously get more minutes for free in the nights and weekends than during peak day hours.. but its a matter of being able to talk on majority of the non peak time hours that is the trouble...

Im being charged for incoming calls..

                                                What the FUCK!
this is how it works man. Been that way for a loooong time ;) Some providers drop the first incoming minute, but I'm not sure if they still do that.

I have 4k minutes a month, and use almost all of 'em.

They might not charge for incoming calls in Europe, but its definitely MORE expensive to use your phone.

Over here (US) we get charged for incoming and outgoing, however we get a much better dwal on our monthly plan.

uhm... I think it stays the same.
In Europe providers pay the airtime to each other.

                                                  Example:
I use my provider A to call someone that uses provide B.

I pay provider A for the call and the other person receives it for free. Provider a just pays a fee to provider B for using their network to deliver the call.
