The Huns top spot IS a very dangerous place :) I've tried doing 35+ TugJobs.com sales in one listing .. 14 days after I had TugJobs.com in the top again (without anyone else promoting it on HUN in the meantime) that one did 6 sales

There are tons of sites which can make profit from the topspot and 10 times as much which can't..

Some niches simply doesn't work in the topspot... they do much better in lower listings where people are searching for the keywords.. in other words.. put a tranny gallery in the top and your money is so lost

Another thing is...

Prices for spots are going up and up all over the place.. very soon affiliates won't have a change for profit - only paysite owners themselves will be able to make serious cash with spots

thats true, but mostly it depends on the girl you choose for the gallery, if you choose a good one and make each time a little changes on the template, the results are pretty similar, for example I did 31 sales with the last spot

Yup, exactly what im seeing lately.

They have the excuse that theyre sold out anyway. The hun's first spot is sold out for months right. Well some people are making good money with it, thats for sure but most tgp owners are simply pushing it. demand is one thing but quality and being able to make money is something else. Price isnt calculated by demand only...do i make any sense here?

Soon it will be almost impossible to make good profit from the big tgps. Personally i couldnt be bothered spending 10k a month, a lot of time and energy on thumbs, galleries, etc just to make 1k profit.

Yes, it will still be able to make profit from a 650 spot...the question is how much.

i love the Huns traffic but you never know how it will do. I recently had a new sponsor on there, i think i was one of the first, Hot chick, young teen look. Great gallery. did 2 sales i think. Im not complaining at all, i mean i get listed almost always when i submit a gallery. And its very good traffic for free but its just odd traffic sometimes.

the gallery could just have a higher click through rate. you have to look at profit on something like this, not ratio. it could have half the click through ratio and make the same sales and your ratio would be 1:400. makes no difference to me as long as im making the same $. :2 cents:

yea that's why I never got into posting galleries and buying spots.. Seems too much trouble for the profit when buying spots.
If he would have had to pay for the spot and the B/W pluss content, there would have been very little profit.

I htink you're wrong there. the only time the price will drop is when there isn't enough buyers, till then it will continue to be the high price.

yup, thats the problem, that the price don't reflect the real opportunity to make sales, some owners ask a lot, some ask less...I would like to know how some of them figured the price they ask for the spots. One example, worldsex is asking $500 per spot, the same as hun until now, but we all know the difference in both sites...

Congrats on the sales as that traffic can run hot and cold.

I know some sites with the same prices over years, and they are available each time I ask, mostly on the next day...I would guess, its a part of image of the site.

I agree, probably the most overlooked issue in this industry, you make an agressive gallery and you're going to get higher ratios.

This problem bothers me when I am making my FHG templates. Personally I like to make them very aggresive. Prime up the surfer with some good content and then shuffle them off to the tour ASAP!

The only drawback, it makes your conv. ratios look worse.

you stand chance of being judged wrongly because of their own ignorance.

Truth and how do you avoid that? Blind links have horrible conversion but we all know it can lead to bank if done well.

yeah, a major difference in quality but worldsex uses free hosted galleries, he doesn't need people to buy gallery spots

I think he didn't mean blind links, there are many types of galleries, my last spot on thehun made almost the same amount of sales, but the gallery was "aggresive", so the ratio was 1:1700 raw, not 1:800 like now...different ratios, the same result

I never win

A lot of people lose money on spots, they are just keeping the mouth quiet about it.If you are a paysite owner and you break even it's not bad, because webmasters will see your galleries all over the place, and maybe signup for your program

1:800 is horrible ratio? that's pretty average

those are 800 raw hits, so probably 600 unique visitors, on a #1 hun spot, on a gallery with high CTR, I would say, its more than ok :) average submitters do 1:600+ with 2% CTR on more quality traffic :)

It's getting harder and harder to make good profits with spots because prices are going up and never come down.

You'd have to be a paysite owner nowadays to make good profit on a topspot @ TheHun.

Also as a paysite owner you will get credit for joins from people who go join from the acutal site page and not though your affilate link.

I'm not sure what your point is but most sponsors use 90 day cookies nowadays so don't worry about getting credit

true, I'm not even gonna argue with you that a paysite isn't better to OWN yourself coz it is. Only when working with affiliates you have to keep in mind that it will only pay off when you hit bigger numbers coz the startup cost is pretty high :2 cents:
