Web 1000 Sold

Hey just wanted to dip into the idea pool here... We bought Web 1000 last week and are going to spend the next 60 days overhauling things and pursuing new ideas with it. It seems quite a few guys I talked to got their start with sites or boards on Web 1000 and I've gotten a few great suggestions so I wanted to post here and see what things people would like to see and such...

So if ya' got any grey matter storms you wanna share, please do. Two thousand minds are better than a few.

Just a little bump .... for this one ... we are totaly reworking this sytem and adding tons on webmaster features. if there's anything you would like to see added to the system speak up know ....... We want the new system to be the best availible in the market ....so let us know what you want...

Thanks! It's such a big property, we're kind of overwhelmed with ideas and putting them all in order right now. I'm psyched though because there is so much potential there and we've already seen in the first week we've had it some great things. I know there is alot of back hostory on it, not all of which is the best so we have our work cut out for us but it;s a fun set of hurdles to jump for sure.

One thing is we'll have a shit ton of traffic to sell. right now we sell it in bulk but we're going to work on a system to really specify it so we can match it to sponsors very well.

Heehee... so am I so it's a good match. We have alot of bringing it up to date and all that to do. That's why I was looking for any creative input from people too. We have a ton of stuff already outlined but any extra nput always is appreciated too.

Hey good for you!

When I started out, I used web1000...still have a few free sites on there. You should put a good web based file management or allow download on ftp, that would be good.

We have lots of plans to improve the FTP ...and allow limited download.....

I'm interested to see what you guys do with it. It's obviously well established. Even though I got started on Geocities and Angelfire, there was a time when I had stuff with web1000. There must be a huge database of old and new webmasters that have used the host over the years ;-)

The previous owners did 404 traffic with it instead of banners on the headers and footers, correct? Are you guys staying with that model?

WE are looking at all the option ... we would like to keep a banner free host and sell off the 404. right now there is no system to break up the traffic ...so i'm selling it bulk. but it's a shit load of traffic .... good deals will be made all around

It does redirect non us traffic but you can select a second language in the admin area so that doesn't happen....
