Just bought City of God and watched it for the second time....

Damn this movie is AWESOME. If you haven't seen it, go rent it NOW....it's a must see...

Definitly one of my favorite of the year....

Yes , it was very well done , one of my top ten favs
now go rent "Maria : Full of Grace" It just came out on DVD and it is a Sundance film about a drug mule

DICK TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR.
Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

there's also a 1 hour documentary on the DVD...about slums/favelas etc.. really interesting stuff

first time I watched it I was kinda distracted...and with all the names you have in that movie (also considering it's subtitled) I missed a couple of part....

Watched it for the second time yesterday (100% focused this time! ) and i'm still amazed at how good the movie really is!

I own both the Brazilian copy of the DVD and the American. The Brazilian copy is 2 DVD's and loaded with special features. You have to have a multi-regional DVD player though.

Actually caught this movie at my local arthouse theatre when it first came to the states. Good movie!

glad i know portuguese. the story is a little differently told if you speak portuguese.

i would reccomend that if you watch it, use it with subtitles and not dubbed in english. the dubbed version is horribly translated.
