I would recommend you check out Polk speakers, definitely quality audio.

bazooka power amp + jensen sub
pioneer 6x9's in back and 5's in the front

If factory deck is not powerful enough then look into a midrange pioneer deck

voila

For subs, I'd go SPL:
2-10" (capped @ 30HZ)
1-15 or 18" (29HZ and down)

For the rest I'd go with MB Quartz.
2 - 6 & 1/4" Mid-highs (rear doors)
2 - 6 & 1/4" Mid-lows (front doors)

2 - 3/4" titanium tweeters (front)
2 - 1" titanium tweeters (rears)
Amps for subs can be class 'B' or lower but for the rest you should acquire a class 'A'. I recommend Macintosh.

I did some custom work on some vehicles, as well to my 93' Supra Turbo. Most had MB in them. The mainstream stuff is below average ... Alpine and Pioneer are what one buys before getting serious.

MB Quartz makes a very crisp/clean and clear high, which is why I listed two tweet sizes.
Do yourself a favour, stay away from Rockford?s, in ever respect ? their amplifiers and subs are not even intermediate.

For a deck, check out Eclipse (they offer 8 volt units - drewl) or Clarion.
