why are there so many indian and chinese doctors in america?

but there's a big difference when it comes to a mexican picking fruit for below minimum wage, to foreign doctors averaging 140k/year

I heard from a friend in the US that the majority of the youth in the states are not intrested in medicine and engineering

They are better educated, and will take way less money.

In Indian and Asian families, you HAVE to do really good in school.. otherwise you get your ass kicked with a stick..

Plus if you are in India or somewhere Asia, you can become a doctor in 4-5 years, instead of 13 that it takes here in the USA.. then all you gotta do is come here and pass the board exam for your resident state and you can start your practice.
