The whole problem with targeting the top SERPs (and avoid other ways of marketing) is what happens when your "golden egg" site is blacklisted or drops to #9, or #23 or #56 when Google makes major changes to the algo ...

You go from making $15K/week to $150 ... just hope you were smart enough to save some coin for a rainy day.
