uhmmmm...ok. When? Maybe with the NES.Originally posted by dunefield
Nintendo lead the way in quality... Everyone then copies their style of games or designs of the consoles/controllers...
X-Box
I have an X-Box and a PS2. X-Box games look alot better, and you can't beat X-Box live for online gaming.
The only reason I keep my PS2 around is for the PS2 exclusives like Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear.
Gamecube is considered childs play.★★★

BUT.....Yes...Metal Gear is a Playstation exclusive. The other consoles do not get a MGS3 for another 10-12 months. Its in Konami's deal with Sony. Same thing with Rockstar and Grand Theft Auto's.★★★

You should really go to a local store and try them yourself to find out what one YOU like most. They all have one good thing the others do not. Also you need to make sure that the games YOU want to play are supported on the console.
I have all of them and I play certain games on certain systems for different reasons. Most games are now coming out on all systems at the same time with a few exceptions so the titles should not be a big deal in picking one.
Around here the local stores have them out for you to play around with so you can get the one YOU want.
I am sure you would be happy with whatever one you choose.Comment

I would say xbox, and out of the next generation ones coming out in 2005 the xbox2 is supposed to be the best also.SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.Comment

For as far as flat out fun the gamecube is king and as far as overall the xbox is next because of online and then Ps2...Comment

It depends 100% on what you like. Gamecube for kids games, cutsey games and platformers. Xbox for power and a growin base of excellent titles combined with xbox live (makes it unbeatable IMHO) and playstation for sheer volume of games and as mentioned those not yet released on other platforms.
As someone said try them and see what suits you best. Gamecube the best console on the market ....what a very, very strange notion.Comment

It's all about personal preference. Buy all 3 and try them for yourself.

You should get yourself a premodded XBox. You will thank me later.
I bought one of these:
http://www.friendtech.com/
(don't get the one with the upgraded processor and RAM, just get the base model with the 120 GB hard drive)
It's amazing the stuff you can do with it. Hell, it's worth the price just to be able to stream the internet radio stations through my stereo with a nice interface, not to mention all the emulators for older systems, ripping DVDs and games to the hard drive, running Linux, etc., etc.
Even if you don't get a modded one, I would still recommend an Xbox over the other systems.Comment
