It is free if you use one of the 15-20 approved sponsors. People like topbucks, hawgscash, etc. The companies pay them a small amount every time you submit a gallery using them as a sponsor.
As for them putting adds on your stuff, nope, nothing at all. Only catch is if you want to submit for free, you use the approved sponsors.
