Any way to make windows take files larger then 4gb ?

I'm merging lists, and as soon as the file is 4 GB or over, it freeze and act like there is a full disk .

Any way to change this ?

You need to have your hard drive in NTFS format.

Ok ... there is no way to switch from fat32 to ntfs without totally formatting the partition right ? (removing all data on it ?)

And how should I do that ? partition magic ?

Under Windows XP, go to Start -> Run and use the following command:

CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS and give it couple of minutes to finish. And yes, you can use it for different drive letters, too |

I converted my Fat32 2nd drive to NTFS today, takes 1 minute and is painless. Just close everything else down and it'll be done before you know it. Only thing to be wary of is foreign characters in file names. Inside the actual file is fine, just file names. Apart from that everything is easy as pie.
