Anybody giving holiday donations for our US troops overseas?

Whether you are against or support this war, we have men and women overseas, serving for our country and going without things that most of us take for granted everyday. Being thousands of miles away from their friends and family during the holidays is just the tip of the iceberg compared to what these men and women live through daily. I personally wouldn't want to be in their place or have their job, but I am grateful that there are people selfless enough to do it.

So I just thought I would remind everyone that if they can make a donation, small or large to please do so.

    www.uso.org

And there's many other organizations, so if you can... please do.

    Thanks

Your justified attitude is displaced. Being an ex Army Ranger, I respect the men and women over seas fighting for what I see as a misguided cause.

However, for those of you interested, there is a site called Ernie?s House of Whoopass, www.ehowa.com . The site owner does this big donation drive every year and buys thousands of dollars in discounted airfare to get soldiers home to their families that normally wouldn't have the opportunity to be back with their loved ones during the holiday season. I donate every year.

They are not really there by choice...

I am far from being a war supporter
and even less a Bush -Cheney fan....

Some of those troops are mental cases , just like in real society...

But as a whole, I am sure they would prefer to be home with their families and in a non-amputed state ....

Best way to support them is to write your protest to your congressman... No need to write to Bush, he said already that he doesn't read ... except illustrated children books ...

                    Exactly.

It makes me sick that they are over there in the first place, but if I can help to make their time a little bit easier I'm going to.

You don't cut off a finger when it's the brain that keeps telling it to pull the trigger. Be pissed at Bush and his corrupt-ass regime, not the 18 yr old kids who didn't know what they were getting into are doing what they can to survive.

                        This is american bullshit!

Troops don´t need money... Have you ever been in the military? You need thing like:

A hug from your mom, see your girlfriend, a good book or just some friends...

Can you give them that.... Money isn´t everything.

They aren't giving the troops the money.. The money is used for things to help the troops out.
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.
