    Morphine - the most amazing drug i've ever been prescribed

    thinking back to my days in the hospital back in October, i have to say that getting heavy duty doses of morphine was something of a life-altering experience. it changes fundamentally how you perceive everything. an entire day passes by you in what feels like, at most, maybe 2 hours. you can have vivid dreams while 'conscious'. everything, EVERYTHING simply feels, looks and tastes very different, mostly in a good way.

    anyway, it's not something i want to do again unless absolutely required, but it is something i'll always remember. has anyone else done industrial strength opiates for any length of time?

          I was hopped on morphine when I had a abcess in the back of my throat (yes very painful). I got it through the IV.

                  I preferred psychedelics to opiates, back when I was a scumbag.

                  Have had demerol and morphine.

                  Soft and Fuzzy is the only way I could describe them. The are pretty similar but demerol is not very effective when taken orally.

                                      i put my shoulder about 5 inches out of the socket a coule years ago. i went to the hospital and they gave me morphine through iv to help with the pain before they popped my shoulder back in. quite a fun time. made me forget about any pain.

                                          i was on a lot of Morphine when i was getting my Leukemia treatments... im not sure whether its a dream state or hallucinations, but they are very wild and colorful..

                                                          Demerol, Fentanyl, morphine, oxycodone, all great stuff in my book. I won't touch any of this stuff more often than once every few months because i like them too much.

                                                                          I remember when I had that little run in with a commercial lawn mower. First thing they did after getting an iv in at the ER was hit me with the morphine. I remember thinking, where the hell have you been all my life. Instant addict. Gimme more! lol They then switched me to a dilaudid drip after the first surgery l. Not as intense a high but it did kill the pain.

                                                                                      Very easy to easy addicted if you have a connection for morphine. Once a week turns to twice, turns to four, turns to everyday pretty fast. Faster than heroin because with heroin you have to go through an initial period where it makes you sick which makes most people stay away. This is not the case with pharmaceutical grade morphine taken orally. It can be very seductive because of this and not having to shoot, snort or smoke it like some scungy heroin. I would tell anyone to stay away from it.
