Lt1 Intake Leak?
When I replaced my transmission mount on my 1994 Z-28 Automatic I noticed oil leaking off the filter and the transmission seemed to be covered in a film of oil as well. I went to Quik Kar( they did my last oil change) and I told them to replace my filter. I came back and they said my Oil cooler line is leaking and my water pump is leaking. So the other day when I started my car it started idling rough and was shaking the whole car. Could this be a intake leak? I have noticed a drop in power.
My service engine soon light has come on. Ill probably go to my chevy dealer to have them check the codes, do they charge for this? I tried to run the codes by jumping the a and b terminals on my DLC but when I turn the ignition to on the light just comes on and stays on, it doesnt flash. So Im looking to replace the Oil cooler lines? Remove the intake and put in a new gasket? Replace my water pump? Is there anything else I should do? Thanks alot in advance for any help. I appreciate it |

you can check if you have an intake leak using a can of wd-40 just kind of slowly spray it around the edges of the intake while its running and if its leaking it will suck it in and and possibly start idling alittle higher.
