                                                                                                  I think this is a seriously good questions... because once you're at a certain level you get damn lazy... the money is coming in and you can afford to fuck around all day -- eat out at every meal -- chase girls -- get drunk every night...

                                                                                                  It's damn hard for me to get motivated sometimes... A few ways to get motivated...

                                                                                                  1. change your work environment... just moving your computer to another room or whatever -- usually helps me...

                                                                                                  2. music... if you have DSL -- try shoutcast.com -- kick ass 128k streaming music for free -- I like monkeyradio, flaresound, bassdrive, and groovesalad

                                                                                                  3. heros/role models... I've been reading this book called Hackers... it seems a lot of the really influential minds in computing were inspired by particular books... Hackers itself is a great book. The guy that started Sierra was told once by his boss that he didn't have "management skills" -- later on he made millions with that company...

                                                                                                  But anyway I think most people are right -- it's greed that drives a lot of people... personally I don't care so much about money.
