Spam me with DVD authoring software
I need to take a home movie from a mini dv tape and burn it to a DVD that my mom can play in her DVD player.
I use Vegas 4 for video editing but I just checked out Vegas 5 + DVD and that's $799....a bit pricey considering its something I'll use maybe twice a year. Any freeware/shareware or proggies under $100 out there that I can do this with?

You buy software ? When I read that I felt so bad for you I tried to find vegas 5 for you and failed. The GFY community needs to be more generous. Needless to say I was going to give it to you.

I have used an older version of TMPGEnc's DVD Author app with success to quickly and easily author a non-commercial DVD or sample DVD that looked good. You cann download the newer version here http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda.html
