You have a lot to choose from out here.

I agree, LA gets a bad rap for no good reason. One person says, "Man, LA sucks." then somebody else says it, then other people hear it and act like they know what they are talking about, but I say fuck it - so far, so good - LA RULES! :)

I totally agree!

And Jace, if you know what you're doing you won't be sitting in LA traffic for an hour to go 10 miles. Hell, I haven't lived here a year yet and I know enough to get around without being stuck in traffic...

Yep, I even cheat - drop about 1k on a good GPS, if shit get hairy you hit "route exclude" (the 101 for example) and no worries man.

I like LA, but I prefer NYC.

Twe Russ 12-14-2004 02:58 AM

NYC up in this bitch, if we just had the cali sun it would be game over.

I was there that night. That is about the best thing that can happen to you in Atlanta.

Nah, I lived in NYC for 21 years and go back every year since I left - even if NY had the sun, it still wouldn't compare over all!

Don't get it twisted! I LOVE NY, and the people, food and night life are off the chain - but los angeles just has a feel ... the beaches, the palm trees, the "hollywood" thing about it!

NY is a great place to visit, but I don't think I'd want to live there again

:2 cents:

shit, we knew what we were doing...we lived on reseda blvd...about 8 miles from the beach..and even with back roads it still took almost 30 minutes to hit the beach

la is just a shithole...we lived there 2 years and nothing good came out of it, except a nice paycheck and a HUGE ulcer

LA=uptight living, unless you have tons of cash...if you have tons of cash it is all good...but don't ever try and live there when you are living paycheck to paycheck

atlanta has alomost all the same things that LA does, in some cases better things, but all on a smaller scale...and without having to be making $200k a year to just have a nice living environment

Jace 12-14-2004 04:30 PM

i guess what it all boils down to for me is money...go figure

i can find a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in a nicely developed area, inside the perimeter, of atlanta for under $500k

try and find that in a nice neighborhood in LA for under $1.5million

the ONLY thing LA has better than atlanta is the beach and the environment that comes with a beach area....

SleazyDream 12-14-2004 04:35 PM

the problem with LA is that everyone thinks they are God and they don't realize that I'm God

I live in Venice, and this whole area gets my vote as well. I've lived in more than half of the metro areas in the country including Atlanta (Roswell actually) and Venice is my favorite, followed by Phoenix.

Roswell aint even close to being the same as Atlanta. Thats like saying dark is rather akin to being light.

Goonie Goo Goo!

That has to be the most egotistical post of history.

Sorry Sleazy - I hate to break this to you...you are a MOD (here at GFY) and not a God. I know being able to move threads around may make you feel like you have some Godly powers, but there's nothing to it.

Dirty D 12-14-2004 11:02 PM

Make sure you represent the "Dirty South" out to Cali

I am sure you will map out the new party environment quickly :winkwink:
