Has anyone ever seen your own affiliate code redirect to someone else code?

Question that is troubled myself for the past 10 minutes, wondering how can this happen?

Weird, anyway as you might know my id with TB is 1088 and tonight setting up a lesbo site I notice that this link is being replaced with code 10570 ?
ohh I don't know whats happening.. Am I loosing my mind tonight? or has my pc been taken over by a cyber alien?

You could have a spyware on your PC that is redirecting affiliate links. Run an updated copy of Adaware

I'd also shoot an e-mail to your topbucks account rep and give them the details.

ask TB for the identity of whoever owns that account, they are stealing from you, no different than them walking into your house and taking your property.

Actually they aren't just stealing from him. Anyone who has that particular spyware will be redirected to that affiliate's links regardless of whos page they are clicking the Topbucks links on... even yours... and it may not just be limited to Topbucks links

Could be cookies, but more likely a similar program to those that insert links on your pages based on keywords.

No browser is untouchable. The only reason Firefox has had less trouble up to now is that people who write these programs want to get more bang for the buck and go for the biggest target. Now that Firefox is becoming quite well known you can be expecting to have to run cleaners/protections just like IE.

It's Adware/Spyware. Most recently we discovered that people who downloaded Kazaa Media Desktop are being redirected away from Lightspeed Cash sites to a search engine. Imagine a member trying to get to a member's area only be redirected each time.

Hey, you are right .... I get the same .... When I go to
http://www.lesboerotica.com/?revid=1088&s=7&nopop=1
it redirects to
http://www.lesboerotica.com/s1/index...=10570&nopop=1

But when I enter:
http://www.lesboerotica.com/s1/index...d=1088&nopop=1
it just stays with your code !!! so I guess they changed the code line and made a big error on converting/redirecting from the old codes ..... just use it like this from now on .....
http://www.lesboerotica.com/s1/index...d=1088&nopop=1

Cheers,
NyLoS

A couple years ago I found a version of Kazaa had replaced my HOSTS file with one with hundreds of entries.I had broken images everywhere, it was even blocking ads from amazon.com.

The HOSTS file can't be edited directly because it is in use when Windows is running, but Hostman is a freeware HOSTS file manager that will let you easily remove any unwanted entries in your HOSTS file (or add some if you'd like).

When I clicked that first link it took me to
http://www.lesboerotica.com/s1/index...showthread.php
When I copied it and entered it into my browser it redirected to the 10570 number. That's definitely a glitch on Topbucks end.

This one works
http://www.lesboerotica.com/?revid=1088&s=7

But this one redirects to that other account
http://www.lesboerotica.com/?revid=1088&s=7&nopop=1

All other tours with and without popups seems to work.

Hmmm

It appears to be the traditional tour (option 7 in the link builder) doing it regardless of checked options. I just logged into an account and recreated the problem.

Hey Monaro and all-

Rest assured, we discovered the issue. Thanks for brining it to our attention.

The lesboerotica s7 tour was missing thus, our system was seeing an invalid tour & not carrying through the ID. We've fixed both problems so the s7 tour now exists & any invalid tour entries for lesboerotica now carry through the webmaster ID like it does for our other sites. We apologize for the error.

Fortunately, LEsboerotica s7 tour was not one of our more popular tours & we have checked the 10570 account for the past 2 months and show no sales generated for that site.

Dear Lee,

Thank you for taking the time to attend to
this small issue in the code. I was and still
am in the proceeds of setting up a new
domain with the focused upon the lesbian
niche and Topbucks with the lesbian site/s
was my first choice of adult sponsors in
promoting for this fresh site in which I am
creating and looking forward to continue
to promote the lesbian sites with topbucks.

Yours truly,
Mark
