    Super Typhoon Approaching Philippines (Pix)

    Philippines: 1,000 dead or missing

    Forecasters have warned that the storm could be especially fierce, with winds of 185 km/h (115 mph) and gusts of up to 240 km/h (150 mph). The typhoon could generate 10-meter-high coastal waves.
