In the short term, sure money can make you "happy." It can alleviate stress, enable you to do and see things etc. But in the long term, money isn't the answer to everything. It's a temporary high, the equivalent of eating a candy bar or something. It doesn't solve everything.
I've been rich and I've been poor and all I can say is, money is not the answer. In fact, it usually makes you even more miserable eventually. When you have money, you just have different types of problems than you would have without money.
Money really is the root of all evil. It tears families apart, turns friends against each other, makes people act out of character... it's insane what money does to people. Humans are strange creatures... some of us spend all our lives trying to attain "platinum status" and for what? It's all temporary. Life is temporary. You think you own a house or a car? Wrong.
