I always thought taking any type of narcotic was a bad idea, but now it seems like nearly every medication they have on the market has side effects far worse than what you are treating. I don't know about other countries, but people in the US pop pills like candy and it will be interesting to see what long term side effects people will have from all these medications.

Avoid prescription medicines as much as possible!!

right, start reading the paper they give to you when you fill a prescription and you will get scared, makes you not want to take it, kinda like it cures what you currently have but causes all kinds of other problems

On a funny side-note, I once read that one of the side-effects of some anti-anxiety med I can't remember the name of was...anxiety.

I have taken a lot of prescription medications in my life, and there are so many side effects while you're taking them such as headaches, nausea, sometimes constipation, dizziness...etc. However, the main problem that these medications cause is wear your liver down. So many of them are very very hard for the liver to filter, and some even affect the kidneys and heart, depending on how strong the narcotic or tranquilizer is. I don't recommend anyone abusing these meds....even though it's fun, because I've experienced lots of terrible side effects from using them more than I should, and once I quit doing that, I realized how much I had damaged my body. Stay away, if you wanna get high, smoke bud, it's the cleanest, safest, and most enjoyable "relaxation" technique there is, without the nasty headaches and feeling like poo poo afterwards....just my

LOL! On a different note, I don't even really care what valium does to me, if I have it, I will take it, period. I feel that valium is a cure all, I love how focused it makes me and I'm happy and relaxed and totally anxiety free......giggles

due to the wonderful crap (meds) I have to take I get blood tests every two weeks.
just to check the level of the crap in my blood and how bad it has damaged my liver and other organs.

I am strongly against heavy medications. There is nothing wrong with being sick, its your body's way of building up immunity against these viruses and bugs. These heavy meds are a shortcut and unfortunately our bodies develop resistence to the meds over time and they become ineffective. I'd rather let my body build it up myself unless I absolutely need to take prescription meds.

my girlfriend and her family are strong believers in homeopathic remedies and i believe a lot of it really works.

and she's also strongly against vaccination shots - as there is no evidence that they work, and are shown to cause a lot of problems later on in life.
