Hi,
We wanna sell some pay per view clips. We are with CCBill currently and they dont support this. Well they support the 1 password file for each clip created with a sub account for each clip but that would be nasty to ask people that want 7 clips to go and fill in their info 7 times on the signup form so i just wanted to know if you knew any CCP who can offer a solution for this or if you know of any program that can be purchased to use for this or whatever? There is loads of Pay Per View sites out there so i know this is possible just dont have a clue how it can be done please post your ideas. Thanks guys! |

How much would you want to charge to view each clip?

I guess thats the tricky part.
It will be per minute of the clip so it would be from $5.99 up to $45.99 meaning i want the customer to be able to buy lets say 3 clips 5.99 + 9.99 + 39.99 he goes to checkout and pay 55.97 and after transaction gets access to these clips ONLY not the 50 other clips that will be there. so the flat fee is not possible. Any ideas? |

Hey Jay,
No not Pay Per Minute but Pay Per File Access. Have the CCP work with the script so that a username and password will be written to the folder of each clip in each folder the person choses to buy. As i wrote CCBill already have this but only with 1 clip per sale. i want to be able to use it as a shopping cart but the problem lay in the diffrent pricing per clip and only allowing access to the clips purchased. It should be something simple to do i think as many other sites are using it. from the top of my head clips4sale.com example. You can buy all the clips you want and after you paid your chosen username and password will work for those clips but not for all the other clips if you get what i mean. any suggestions? |

This looks easy....you can use DRM to do it. EMail me at [email protected] and I will point to some one who does this. I think they charge few hundrad dollers a month for this servie.

Already looked at CCBills DRM solution however i would prefer to buy the script 1 time and have it work with dynamic pricing option.
I think the minimum $299 is gonna eat to much of the income on the clips so it would be to expensive a solution. There must be some where the pay per download sites are getting their script. Any more suggestions guys? Or anybody know how it could be implemented with a shopping cart together with password writing to each password file? |

All depending on what your selling
But seriously i need something to work with redhat and our 150 MB MPGs wont work with DRM as they only take WM files so even if we went along with the $299 fee per month for processing then we couldent du to the MPG files. Come on guys some of you must use a Pay Per Download script with Dynamic pricing ? |

I'm not sure how CCBill's DRM works since I haven't looked at it since I left there, but the easiest thing to do would be to have the customers pre-pay for a certain number of clips, movies, views, minutes, etc, and then run your own subtraction system programming from your Windows Media Server.
