In 1998 I was working as an executive protection agent (bodyguard) in Los Angeles for high profile public figures primarily in the entertainment field.

Being young and ambitious i decided to go and do it on my own....Little did i know 1/3 of the company wanted to come too. Seemed like a fgood thing and then one of the guys turn coated and I was promptly terminated and served with a law suit.

I was given the number of a "VC" guy who wanted to jump on the web goldrush and that company was Hanco Entertainment. I studied the market and then sought my alliances and deployed one of the more aggressive marketing campaigns in show history.

Then the company crashed like a commercial airliner......

In that time i had discovered DreamTank and the work they had done in the community...seeing an opportunity to jump onboard with an ambitious, smart, and productive team turned out to be a winner.

Today we have worked with most of the largest known brands in adult and have moved on to get involved with Television production, and work withthe Likes of Howard Stern, Artie Lange, and other high profile clients.

I am hardly done on my journey and expect to see a signifigant leaps over the next 18 months. i have forged some of my lifelong friends in this buisiness and have relationships with hundreds of the coolest people i know.

Thanks for the support over the years...and thank you for the friendships

What domain was it ?

Started around 1998 I believe with the paid to surf programs. I was only 15 at the time and started making sites promoting them. Made some decent money until they all bottomed out and I found out other ways to make money online through certain message boards. And here I am :)

Sneezy 11-30-2004 08:16 PM

my brother in-law introduced me to the web in the spring of 1998. He was in the voice response lines at that time and figured out a way to make money on the internet with 0900 numbers.
I learned html and started out with privatexxx, posting every new page to theHun, bloatedGoat, snake etc..and promoting xpics, cybererotica etc. Kept my day-time job as human recource manager for another year, cause I couldn't believe it would last. Considering the easy money, that was a great first year in porn. So when the dialer was introduced in Holland it became clear to me that internet porn could be a full-time bizz. In 1999 I became part of IP Tower. With that company we dominated the adult market in Holland for nearly 3 years in a row. We provided every ISP in Holland with our erotic portals. Even Microsoft. The sky was the limit. With the rapid penetration of broadband connections in Holland, the dialer market went down a notch or 2. The voice pin billing is great alternative but it will never match the monthly figures we did back then.

the coming Internext is gonna be my first one btw. Got a lot of meeting & greeting ahead of me with people that I know and/or did business with over the years, but never met face-2-face.

I might even run in a few gfy-ers ;-)

Cheers

I believe it was 1999. I kept seeing spam flooding most search engines and I figured it didn't require too much effort or extraordinary skills. :)

NickB. 12-01-2004 11:37 PM

I started in 1999 with reselling search engine traffic, no cuure no pay, but half the price per click goto.com was asking,( same listings at google and yahoo )

online casino was the big money maker back than :)
keywords like:

online blackjack
online casino
online poker

etc etc
Till I lost contact with the Search Engine Specialist :(

LA Mike 01-23-2005 12:53 PM

It suprises me how many people in this thread have actually been around for awhile.. must be making money :)
