The simpsons and Family can't be compared. Family guy is flat out over-the-top hilarious with never ending jokes, where The Simpsons still tries to get points across and teach moral lessons and show a somewhat functional family.

family guy kicks ass. I've heard rumors of a 4th and final season on fox next summer. hope they bring it back for one more year, I've run all 3 season dvd's into the ground.
Well, we've had a lot of laughs tonight... but I'll tell you what's not funny - killing strippers. Strippers are people too - naked people who may be willing to pleasure you for a price you negotiate later behind a curtain in a V.I.P. room. Besides, there's no reason to kill 'em, 'cause most of them are already dead inside. Goodnight, folks.

Peter: Ok, here's another riddle. A woman has two children. A homicidal murderer tells her she can only keep one. Which one does she let him kill?
Brian: That's... that's not a riddle. That's ... that's just terrible.
Peter: Wrong, the ugly one!
Peter: Oh my god, Brian, there's a message in my Alphabits. It says, 'Oooooo.'
Brian: Peter, those are Cheerios.
Peter: Well, I'm gettin' something really special too. And by special I don't mean special like that Kleinaman boy down the street. More special like... like Special K, the cereal. Hey, what do they do with the regular K? And for that matter, what ever happend to K. Ballard? You know, if you said mallard and you had a cold, it would sound like ballard.
Brian: Do you listen to yourself when you talk?
Peter: I drift in and out.
Lois: I guarantee you a man made that commercial.
Peter: Of course a man made it. It's a commercial Lois, not a delicious thanksgiving dinner.
This cartoon crosses the line every fuckin episode, gotta love it! This is the only show that I can say made me laugh all the way through the commercials

you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..
my girlfriend hates the show, yet she watches it every night. it's one of those things like she can't stand peter but has to see what stupid things he does next
I heard that they kicked it off Fox because of the cocaine episode, which was absolutely hilarious by the way, is that true? Are these new episodes supposed to be just as over the line or are they cutting back on it, I REALLY hope its the same!!
I can't wait for "American Dad" to start, it's made from the creators of "The Family Guy" and really feels the same. Here's a link to the official page - http://www.fox.com/americandad/home.htm
Wow, I was digging on the Fox Site and went to their "Family Guy" page and found this -
Holiday Episodes on FOX!
Haha, you said North Pole... What better way to celebrate the holidays than with a double-dose of animated cheer? FOX will be airing back-to-back episodes of Family Guy on Friday, Dec. 10th starting at 9/8c. The holiday block will kick off with ?A Very Special Family Guy Freakin? Christmas? and will be followed by ?When You Wish Upon a Weinstein?, airing for the first time on broadcast television. Does that count as a new episode? I?m gonna say yes. And you thought you could have the holidays without Gene Simmons and a Las Vegas bar mitzvah?
