Nice looking house, and $1,100.00 is like nothing. But since it's to only rent until the owner sells, then don't waste your time, IMO:2 cents:

I totally agree. If you can spend $1,100 a month on rent, why not invest it in something that you'll eventually own? It doesn't seem like much when you're young, but one day you'll wake up in your 40's/50's and kick yourself for not investing in somethng that lasts a lifetime.

Looks very nice.Good luck:thumbsup

my thoughts exactly...

and for only 350, that's a steal...

anything within 50 miles of water is 450-500 for a shithole here :(

I got this love/hate thing going on with Cali still

Kimmykim 11-29-2004 02:34 PM

Damn, you can't get indoor plumbing for 1100 a month down here. Too bad you can't do a lease with an option to purchase on the house --

1,100 to rent?!?!?!?!?! That is a sick location man, if you dont take it I will!!

axelcat 11-29-2004 02:43 PM

House like that in a good area in LA is very axpensive

Kimmykim 11-29-2004 02:46 PM

Renting isn't always a bad deal, I'm not sure why people think it is automatically. What you pay in rent, versus what you'd pay in mortgage, tax and insurance, to live in a particular area doesn't always make renting a bad deal. And if you live in an area where the real estate prices are volatile, or the market is nearing a bubble burst or other downward factors, you can sometimes be just as well off renting as you would buying.

never true in the long run

if you pay $1000 in rent for 20 years , you have nothing

if you pay $1500 in mortgage tax and insurance for 20 years you will have SOMETHING even if your property has lost value

deniska 11-29-2004 02:51 PM

Its amazing what you can buy in other states.. Something like this will be in the millions in my home town..

ArkansasDave 11-29-2004 02:52 PM

When you expect it might go down its far better to rent.

how would you know an area that the value of a house is going down, or even want to live there?

Vitasoy 11-30-2004 12:14 AM

Chris 11-30-2004 12:22 AM

A house like that would do 2 million euro here...without ground...

in the whole Netherlands? Give me a break. I can see that in Amsterdam and some other areas, but don't tell you don't have land and houses in the same price margin.

tornell 11-30-2004 12:41 AM

nice

Where I live there is still a shortage of housing. They are building a lot though every year. So with more houses available for buyers and the same amount of buyers the prize of current houses will go down.

You are right. I should have been more specific. I was thinking the urban parts of the Netherlands but there is parts of The Netherlands where it will be much cheaper.
Still not in the same pricerange though.

PHPdude 11-30-2004 04:23 AM

Yeh, i recon go for it and pay the bank fees, atleast you have a share in a house, plus its got ocean views from the photo.
