I'm officialy a Firefox user. IE CAN KISS MY ASS as of today

But for some reason, spywares are taking over my Firefox as well.... all kinds of popups and fake sites.. damn. Oh well, I can't waste a week on a complete format and re-installation of all my software [read: porn].

well you still have some adware/spyware

Safe mode when you remove stuff. I assume you ran the appropriate programs and a anti virus scan as well.

Installing msconfig (if your OS isn't running it) is always nice too in case its something that keeps booting at startup.

Check your add/remove programs.. make sure theres nothing funky added there w/o your knowledge...

Once you've done all that, post you hijack this log if you like

click on
tools/options
then set it up the way you want. turn off javascript will help. under "privacy" their are some things to set that will help too. and get a firewall. that will also help to keep out unwanted crap.

Have you tried Spy Sweeper by www.webroot.com ? I don't have any problems at all with IE or Firefox. I also run Grisoft for antivirus and love it!

3 antiviruses (Panda, Symantec, and some Russian one I was recommended... Kas something. Whatever, I fucking removed it later) + 9 spyware removers.

It doesn't seem like there's anything to be removed manually, that's what fucking bothers me That process SLEE81.EXE... I can't close it (protected!) and it cannot be found in the filesystem. Could be this one is the last one to remove... Will try harder.

I've had it with all the bullshit going on with spyware, adware, malware, etc. lately.

That's why I just created SpyWar.

I just got it an hour ago. Don't see to much difference except my text being harder to read as I type and view page source showing up as an html file so I have to copy it into notepad before pasting it in my editor. Hopefully I will know why i downloaded it within a week.

I laughed at CNN tonight when they were running a piece on Firefox and spyware and said that Firefox wasn't vunerable to them like IE

When the number of people using Firefox is worth virus/spyware writers writing for, they will write for them
