Let's see, she's an American living in the UK with no family or friends nearby. Her closest friends and business associates all post on GFY. Instead of having to email or ICQ everyone, she simplified it and posted it so people would be aware.

Maybe you've never known what it's like to have an online family to share things with.

I think the fact hundreds of webmasters (including myself) have pulled together to donate/help Sarah in any way we can speaks volumes. People come here to dick around every day and act like fools, but when the chips are down, they get together for something good.
