Yes, the MIL made rope during ww2, and there were 28 cousins on the hubbys side that served in Nam, not all of them came back. Quite a few of my family served there too. But part of us have to keep the lights on.

I didn't start that thread Sarah... someone else did. And the thread was titled "Glass Afghanistan"... it was about nuking them.... so I thought the pics were relevant to the topic. If someone doesn't like the idea of nukes, they probably shouldn't be reading one with a title like that to begin with. This thread was basically a spill over from that one.... ( i have no idea how it happened, and I don't wanna go back to figure it out at this point) but I didn't start this thread either.

But again... I didn't go attacking someone because they wanna spread rose petals on the streets of Afghanistan... if that's their opinion, fine. (still think it's stupid, but... ) yet I'm getting attacked for wanting to make them pay. That's fine too.... I can handle myself... The aid workers are held there because they did something that was against the law. They knew it was against the law but that didn't keep them from doing it. They knew what was gonna happen to them if they did.

Just because some Afghani has a Bible in English does NOT mean that those health care etc people gave it to them. Sheesh, how MANY English people have been there?? Doesn't have anything to do with being stupid. The demands he made of Afghanistan are obviously impossible for them to fulfill because of their own fat-headed dictations. By stating that they are not open to discussion or negotiation, (meaning NOT flexible), and knowing there's no way in Hell Afghanistan is going to willingly comply with them, he's basically saying this:

"Run. We're coming. And it ain't gonna be pretty."

If you want to sum it up and say it's because he is stupid, that's your right. To me it seems insane to justifly the killing of innocent people because members of their religion killed other innocent people. Seems insane an inhuman. There is no reason behind this.
