Pop babe BRITNEY SPEARS has lashed out at reports she bought her father a Los Angeles restaurant - insisting dad JAMIE paid for it with his own money.
After spending the summer (04) in rehabilitation for alcohol abuse, Jamie is starting a new life in California after divorcing his wife LYNNE and moving from his native Louisiana.
Earlier this month (NOV04) Jamie bought JJ Chill, a smoothie and chilli restaurant in Venice Beach, and is delighted Britney and new husband KEVIN FEDERLINE are regular customers.
Hopefully Jamie will have better luck with his eaterie than his famous daughter. Britney's New York restaurant Nyla went bust in November 2002, only five months after opening.
