    Vince Carter now says he won't dunk anymore

    Yesterday Carter announced to the media that he won't be dunking anymore, calling the practice "not that important or interesting".

    Sorry Vince, you're no Michael Jordon, so dunking's the only thing I like about your game anymore.

    Becoming more of a bitch with each passing moment. He should get a divorce from his mother asap.

    You'd never see Kobe or Jordon or anyone else say such a stupid thing.

                          he's one spectacular player when it comes to pleasing the crowd but he's not the likes of the NBA greats like Jordan, Bird, etc. you have to more than that to become one of them.

                                          I have seen just about all the Raptor games for the last few years since Vince joined the team. I think he is one of the best
                                          atheletes in the game and a very nice guy as well.
                                          What he isn't is a Leader or a go to guy and certainly not on the
                                          level of Kobe , Iverson , McGrady , or Garnett.

                                          He is a really good player and can contribute to any Team in the
                                          league. The problem is that he rose too fast in the Spotlight and
                                          alot of people predicted him to be something that he was not.
                                          Toronto saw him as the Saviour and the NBA saw him as Jordans
                                          replacement. People get crazy when they see a sick Dunker ....and they over look his other skills.

                                          With all the commercials and endorsement deals ....it started the
                                          whole " Vincesanity " thing. People couldn't get enough of his
                                          Dunking ....and rightfully so ! He's one of most entertaining players the league has ever seen.

                                          Whenever someone wins the Dunk Off people start to get excited
                                          and start to say things like " he's the next" and this and that.
                                          Harold Miner is an example of that !
                                          But really a Dunk is such a small part of the game and a small
                                          part of the Greatest players games.

                                          It's funny that the one thing that elevated Vince to the status he is at right now ....he refuses to do. Ironic.

                                          It's time for him to try and reinvent himself with another team.
                                          His days in Toronto are over. He gave us some fucking Awesome
                                          highlights though !

                                                                                                          I think it's dawning on Carter he will never be great, and he's lashing out.

                                                                                                          I think he's part of a greater trend in which athletes are so fully coddled--especially when Mom's in the mix--that they simply don't have the desire to be great, but only entertaining.

                                                                                                          Jordon didn't care about the money, but cared deeply about being great. He enjoyed his money, and apparently lots of honies, but on court, he was all business. Different era though. The world has changed dramatically in just the last 15 years or so.
