I am in no oppostion to Raphi here at all, well the only thing that slightly irritates me tis sad to see "Designer's" claw and bust for a lousy 100.00 bucks. Big guys should be ashamed of themselves throwin down 100.oo for a design contest. Its silly. Raphi aint the first guy to do it, its a history of many folks doing these sort of contests. Lensman oughta require a minimum amount for any contest to be thrown down on these boards cuz the bottom line is promotional and all I see are poor struggling designers jumping into the fray all at there expense as a laughing disposable stock in the industry. So I read in to a little more its a sweet promo for World Wide COntent. Not bad, I done my fair of share drama for it here and the result is worth more than 100.oo. The Peon's do not see the game so I have a rather hard time pointing it out. I am a hard mother fucking teacher, but in a class full of morons it aint easy putting the writing on the wall when I need to bring a chisel andput it to there foreheads with a hammer. Take my logo, it's free I really do not give a shit. It's a hundred bucks. Big deal, there are bigger fish to fry in the design game and the sad thing is all these so called designer's do not see what is before them and the position they hold and value of there work. |

Hey welcome to the real world...lifes a bitch I understand what alienq is trying to say...but he aint comin across well...all I hear is everyone else designs shitty except him...and hes the greatest thing since sliced bread...and he can take anyones idea and nail it...I dont think thats what your tryin to say but its coming across that way...plus with all your negative posts you put the people down in the contests who are trying to make a living at this. Yes Designers are not given enough credit for the work they put into some of the products they produce and alot of the time I think...wow, my design made that guy so much cash....But THE REAL PLAYERS KNOW HOW VALUEABLE A GOOD DESIGNER IS So if you dont like it you can make a stand...which you did...and I think thats great and I support it. there should be more money for stuff like this...but if a designer makes a choice regardless of his/her personal situation to make a design for a cheaper design contest, then you shouldnt go jumpin on them like they are a scab Multiple posts about how great you are and how shitty they are aint gonna prove your point...that shows age and experiance with a big red flag...or drunkenness with a dumbass thread when I jumped all over ironhorse...and he jumped all over me...which is wrong...and I apologise...cant we all get along? How does it feel to know you will be paid a hundred bucks on somthing that makes 10,000? How about $100,000 how about a million? How many tours have been made for $400.00 bucks Plus another $2000 bucks in content made over $100,000 bucks in 6 months? Are you designers getting your fair share? No your not... You never will. Because you are happy with a cup of rice. I cant change you... No one can. |

All you will get is shitty logos! Sorry for the designers who posted their art but unless you live in a poor country, you wont put many hours in logo research. "a logo takes the same time to make than a banner" WTF ? Its not because it might be smaller that it takes less time to do. In order to do a logo, you must think and research alot... Nike paid 4M$ for their logo and its just a line... If you only wanna pay 100$ for a logo, outsource in romania, russia, bulgaria or similar... Where the average salary per house is like 100$/month.. Then you'll have dedicated designers to work 1 month for your logo :P By the way, the logo you currently use on your site is very ugly, i wouldnt ask to make it similar if i were you :P |
