never tried remote desktop, but haven't had any probs with VNC so far.

Remote Desktop allows you to attach local devices to the remote machine like drives and printers and shit. I use both but muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch rather prefer to use RDC.
