1:3461 on a program that prior to this month did 1:650

0:1385 on the other ccbill program I've been promoting.

Notice how it's always the affiliates that complain about bad days? Program owners always come back and say everything is fine. It probably is too, from their POV.

During the last stats fuckup program owners were saying they were getting notification emails of 'self signups' when they were actually generated from affiliate traffic, now if that doesn't worry you, well...

I'm at 1:6780 today. Not normal. At all.

For my CCBill paysites, today is a totally normal day. However, for my CCBill affiliate stuff, today is total shit (and I mean TOTAL shit). So, whenever paysite owners say "everything is fine, blah, blah", they're only talking from the perspective of the owner, not the affiliate.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that all program owners will say everything is AOK.

I can say while things are "ok"..they've defnitely been better. And if it wasn't for the fact that it is November, the beginning of PRIME TIME selling of memberships on the net, I wouldn't give it much thought. But the last 2-3 weeks has definitely gotten my attention.

I'm speaking as an affiliate, and program owners that say everything's alright and rely on a lot of affiliate traffic have no clue, since they'll start losing affiliates if they don't give proper credit for sales, my top two sponsors keep an eye open for unusual drops in affiliate signups all the time, and coincidentally every time affiliate sells drop, no referal sales go up...

I dunno what other folks do... but the effort put into any affiliate program (if you do this well), can be considerable.

Fundamentally, the choice of sponsors is crucial. All the verbal about good sponsors and bad sponsors may be true, tho it is not necessarily the most promoted sponsors which earn more on the bottom line.

Like anything in life... there is more than a grain of truth to shaving etc - sponsors are no different to any other biz. Other factors are obviously processors where life can be less than perfect, often thru no fault of the processor.

Another factor is marketing tools, - the more the better, tho there is little point in one million webmasters using the same tools and grabbing 1000 overused front ends and image galleries. Original promo material has gotta be better.

Only my opinion, but most of the image galleries offered are... well, damned poor, and unlikely to convert. They are just padding.

Bottom line? :-) Anyone who takes a load of 50 sponsors off a list and does not have the facilities to promote them HARD, is not going to be too successful.

Ask any sponsor how many of their affiliates earn money - the reply will be 5% do biz, the rest just waste time.

Hell.. that was a load of crap that had little to do with CCBill!

Pretty much the same here, conversions are way off today and yesterday, even more weird is that both today and yesterday I had several sales before 6 am and not a single sale for the remainder of the day for both my ccbill accounts, started the day with great conversions but by the end of the day they were in the shitter

Not unless its a conspiracy and only ccbill people left town early, my karups and topbucks sales are normal and I pulled a record day on nasty dollars today

I have not had a ccbill sale or rebill since 6 this morning and this is the second day in a row its happened

This is the sort of thing that has no real smoking gun, so neither side can really work towards a solution. I just hope that one day a ccbill programmer discovers the problem somewhere deep within the bowels of the affiliate code and quietly fixes it.

if you make less than 200 sales a day you cant really say nothing about conversion ratios or the like ,
