Personally i was very very unhappy with my Sony (P8) and have heard many other people say that the color from Sony Digitals is often lacking. Now i am no photographer, but when i heard that i went back and looked at a lot of my pics, and saw that yes indeed anything not shot in full sunlight was indeed very lacking in color.

I have since investigated a lot of Digital cameras and the general opinion i have formed is that Canon digital camera are far better picture quality and can be bought for not too much money.

It's not a bad deal but i've always prefered the cannon and kodak lens quality...You might want to go to best buy or any of the big stores and you might be able to get yourself a bargain...

I'd recommend that you get the Sony CyberShot DSC-WI it's a beautiful camera and if you look at DigitalCameraInfo.com's ratings - http://www.digitalcamerainfo.com/ratings.php They rate is number 6, which is damn good. If you click on the link in the ratings, you'll see in depth reviews, they cover EVERYTHING. It's a very resourceful site. The info from that site is what mae me choose the DSC-WI and I love it, it's a wonderful camera.

For that price I would have to say that you can not go wrong. BUt if your friend got it for free, I would not pay him or her a dime over 195.
