    US suffering from the influence of "South"

    I wish they were all massacred during the civil war. US could have been truly a part of the western world.

    What good came out of "south" ? Slavery, racism, religious nuts, low-IQ hillbillies, Bush family, war mongers, ignorant sheep and the list goes on...

                                          Having spent three years in the deep South, I feel qualified to say that it's another planet, an alternative reality...

                                          There was a movie called: Sweet Home Alabama...and one of the lines was

                                          "you need a passport to get in" or something like that....good line.

                                          The day that 9/11 happened, an employee from I forget where stated:

                                          "Even though they was Yankees, even they didn't deserve that". (Insert heavy southern drawl).

                                          From that moment on, we worked very hard to get the hell out of the South.

                                                                                                                                                              It's one of the great tragedies of history that all the intelligent people in the USA have to be punished because slightly over half the country is stuck in the early 20th century. There are a lot of very smart people in the South, but they seem to be outnumbered by these ignorant rednecks who think they have the right to control other people's lives. They think they hate the Taliban, yet they want American women to die before getting an abortion, or using birth control.
