An everyday ricer? Nothing at all in a straight line, too much around the corners...

Bringing a 1999 Camaro SS down to that level and even considering dragging or racing against these morons would be a shame.

Real men shouldn't drive 4 cylinder cars (unless the wife's car is in the way and you're in a rush, or perhaps if it's a Mercedes C-Class), nor should they drive cars that are painted luminescent orange or pink.

Please explain to me where it is written that painting your door mirrors, body kit and wing a totally opposite and contrasting colour than the rest of your car, was ok?

405 bhp and 355 lb-ft of torque, 0 - 60 in 3.5 secs, 175mph top speed AND it'll go around corners, unlike most yank-tanks.

I agree with you about everything else though

Yeah, I had a friend with a 1987 Trans AM with a supercharger, he didn't even spend that much money and it would tear up any ricer.

It takes a lot to beat my ricer, however, i hate calling it a ricer since its 100% stock. 0-60 in 4.7 -- 1/4 13.08 seconds @ 105 mph. Not to mention, .98g in the skidpad, good luck staying with me in the turns

I was just being an arse... some 4 cylinder cars are OK, it's the ones that are painted weird colours or airbrushed and have all those stickers.

People that buy these cars seem to think they're buying a rally car or something, when in actual fact they're buying a car that is only 1/4 or less the price of an actual rally version.

Putting all of those co-branded stickers on your car, is dumb.

Is your car a 6spd or auto?? if auto, I would throw in a new torque converter, ls1 hotcam, ls6 intake, but really.. you should be smokin ricers all day long bone stock. My buddies '00 ws6 is bone stock running 12.56 on ET Streets (slicks).. It would take some dumbass spending 50k on his honda to beat that.

most ricers are stock with exception of cold air intake or some other fast and the furious shit. the guys you gotta watch out for are the ones in the stock looking old japanese cars. A friend of mine has an old 1986 supra thats in desperate need of a paint job and body work, has no giant wing, factory wheels, no clear taillights, and no nitrous, but still dyno's 401 hp at the rear wheels.
Looks like a junker sitting next to you at the light but can eat hold its own against a new corvette any day of the week.

Real import enthusiasts cant stand fucking ricers, those are the guys that will give you a run for your money.

How about Subaru WRX STi's? Performance and handling-wise they're very similar.

First thing you do is modify the brakes and suspension...
...You gots to make it stop and handle before you make it go!!

Global Suspension Delron Bushings, dropped front spindles, tubular A Arms, springs, struts, shocks etc...

Beef up the rear diffy...

Then you either go get a supercharger as suggested above...
or you go see Mr Goodwrench and get a 4 bolt main - diagonal drilled roller 400" cratemotor at 600hp+.... and plug it in....

create another exhaust header with no cat convertors... and put some Superflow or Flowmasters on the back end.. and get a new computer...

probably about 10-12k

Since you obviously don't know shit about cars, I would keep it stock. I don't want another dipshit on the road trying to race from red light to redlight almost killing everyone and everything in your path.
