        I know how to make a bomb out of a floppy disk that will catch fire when you put it in the drive. but somehow I dont think its the same thing.

              This does remind me of an old monitor (I can't remember who made it but it was used on SGI or HP workstations or something - I googled briefly but found nothing) and you could write a program that would condense all the pixels into a single white pixel on the screen eventually melting the glass and causing the monitor to implode.
