People who swear any oath to some country is hard to swallow.

That suggests ya will give up your life to defend *anything* that passes by - whether that is right or wrong.

Kinda insane undertaking...

you will never understand fletcher... Once a Marine, Always a Marine.. That's just the way it is kiddo. I served 4 years on standby 24-7 to protect your skinny, broke ass. I don't have any regrets that I was ready to give my life for ungrateful kids like yourself, I'd do it again no matter what you said to me.

What have you done for your country lately?

And FYI I am still enlisted in the Inactive Reserves.

likewise for you.

you bash army, yes my family is army and i have blood serving.

keep insulting those serving while you sit back in your chair.

that was my point.

Where did I bash your family in the Army?

Where did I bash my little brother who's in Iraq in the US Army? Or my dad who was a Drill Sergeant in the Army? Do tell.

Quit trolling.

Fletch XXX 11-16-2004 12:56 AM

look, i have better things to do.

my point was simple...

you have some out of date ex-marine bashing army.

i have a 21 year old cousin (army) serving... you want to bash someone fine,... but this prick is sitting at home jerking his dick bashing someone i KNOW is actually risking his life.

keep bashing and talking shit,... i dont care.

i speak my mind and i speak the truth... your stance on war or military is irrelevant... tyhis guys bashes the army "they even there" yety is he there????
no

With all due respect to you kmanrox, it is clear you were well trained.

Sure, there is nada wrong with being a marine and representing whatever country.

That does not mean you are indebted or owe *anyone* in your life. You are free do do whatever and does not matter one toss whether you were a marine or not.

It is who you are that is relevant - not some "allegiance" to eg.. the US marines or some country.

I am not a US citizen thankfully, but also have no hestiation in blasting my own country if they fuck up. Sure, I would side with the US on many issues and same with my home country - but sure as hell am not gonna swear some oath to either.

Shit is either right or wrong - not some middle road - and would retain the right to fuck em all if needed.

Some call that freedom - others call it unpatriotic. I prefer the former.

Sorry Fletch,

I'm Canadian so I didn't get the college money. :(

Re: Volunteering: I did!

JUST like every single member of the Canadian Armed Forces during the ACTUAL war from '39-45.

ALL VOLUNTEERS!

Every single casualty or prisoner was a volunteer.

Seems to me that after the Japs nailed your sorry stupid non-aggression butts at Pearl Harbour in '41 you guys had no options. Since you joined late you had to have a draft because you'd let your military go soft.

Common knowledge.

...

This war in Iraq/Persia/Shah/Peacock Throne...

...was done long ago, why didn't Goerge Bush finish it then?

Answer: It has everything to do with Iran?

Remember Iran and the US Hostage crises?

Like The Monkees said " Take a Giant Step Outside Your Mind!"

Iran is the next target.

Should have been the 1st target.

Even Saddam thought Iran was a better target.

Good night Fletch.

Kudos for starting a good thread and more power to you for realizing that you don't have the depth or intelligence to pursue it with any real imagination to it's final conclusion.

Sweet dreams. :thumbsup

I'll let history be the final judge Fletch.

I just thought that I might point out the obvious because Americans seem to be a little slow on the pickup lately.

pointing out the obvious is one thing, making sence of this ignorant piece of sentence is another.

"the depth or intelligence to pursue it with any real imagination to it's final conclusion."

????

as they say, military intelligence is an oxymoron.
