    do you think bush realizes he is so hated?

    first the dude that shot himself dead at the WTC site

    now another guy dropped to his knees in front of the white house, doused himself in flammibles and lit himself on fire

                                                                                                                  Are you serious? How about Reagan/Mondale, that was an obscene blow out. Mondale got the electoral vote from like 3 states. How about Bush/Dukakis, Dukakis got owned by Bush. Not as badly as Mondale got owned by Reagan, but still pretty badly. This wasn't a blow out by almost any definition. Bush was over the necessary electoral votes by 10. That's a VERY slim margin.

Consider things he's set up like free speech zones. Whenever he's in town, anyone that doesn't like him has to stay in a free speech zone, which are set up well outside of what his visual and hearing range will be.
