Advice: file names vs. firewalls
Hello, I would like to ask for an advice:
We are starting our webdesign site in one week, but we've experienced a problem with certain firewalls. They simply block some of our banners in portfolio. So far I know these most common rules for an image to be blocked by firewall: - size in pixels: standard banner size are blocked with some firewalls - name of the file: *ad*, *banner*, etc. - name of the file: any explicit language (porn, fuck, hardcore). But still it doesn't help. For example the stupid Zonealarm blocks banners called webmaster01.gif, but also image called sweetaudiotion01.gif (non-standard size), so I don't se any special pattern in that. Should I forget the whole firewall issue? I personally think most people in adult have set permission for ads to "show". But still I would like to make sure and get some feedback. |

forget the whole firewall issue, sounds like you have an unusual ruleset for even zone alarm!
