Network over Firewire (1394) - GoFuckYourself.com

Anyone know how to do this? My computer is sharing fine, but the other computer's network wizard is just spinning away. Any ideas?

I only use my firewire port for video transfer.

Well with my router in the shop, my second computer has lost all internet access and can't even be on the network, which is bad since it has the DVD burner, and I'm trying to do video stuff. So I wanted to network them. Apparently it should be as easy as plugging in a firewire to both of them, according to the sound card mfr and Microsoft. But what do they know, right? arg.
